In 1959, Dr. Noordhoff came to Taiwan as an American medical missionary. Over 40 years of medical service, he helped establish Taiwan’s hospital medical system and founded both a craniofacial center and a foundation dedicated to treating patients with cleft lip and palate.

Following the success of the Taiwan model, the foundation began expanding its free medical services to other medically underserved countries in Asia in 1998, launching the “Seed Medical Team Training Program.”
