Who We Are

-Love Makes Whole-

Established by Dr. Samuel Noordhoff in 1989, the Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation-Taiwan is a non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to helping the patients with cleft lip and palate and craniofacial deformity to receive holistic care and to providing a wide range of social, financial and psychological services to address their diverse needs, such as psych-social adjustment, interpersonal skills development and financial support. Not only supports individuals, NCF but also sponsors research to advance the quality of medical treatment, as well as improves public awareness and social acceptance for craniofacial patients.

In 1998, NCF started international programs of medical missions, medical training programs and financial support projects, aiming at developing Craniofacial Centers in the developing Asian countries. The “Love Makes Whole” medical mission team has trod through Vietnam, Cambodia, the Philippines, Laos, Indonesia, Outer Mongolia, China, and the Dominican Republic for 67 missions and more than sixteen hundred patients have received free surgery and related medical care since then.

Today, the Chang Gung Craniofacial Center in Taiwan that Dr. Noordhoff developed is recognized as one of the leading centers for cleft lip and palate care in the world. The Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation-Taiwan is thus devoted to further sharing the experience of Taiwan center's success by helping to establish Centers of Excellence in other countries in need, in hopes of creating a cycle of good wills and helping more congenital craniofacial patients.
