Summer Camp that Makes A Difference

2015/08/20

It is said that support and accompany from the peers would benefit a person’s psychological health. The research further proves that group therapy can be more efficient and effective than individual therapy. The group members can learn from each other and have the chance to work through problems with other people who share similar concerns. Also, the group environment of trust and safety can help a person to build the skills he/she needs to create in real life.

Accordingly, NCF designs an annual Summer Camp Program for the craniofacial defects children aged from grade fifth to grade sixth to join. It is also a great opportunity for these kids to leave their homes to learn how to live independently and experience teamwork. This year, there were around 80 kids joined us. Kids gained their self-assurance and appreciated the benefits of teamwork through the interactions with other peers.
